The Scripture of the Day is:

Hebrews 8:12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.

With the new covenant everything changed.  Think about it, most of us would be wiped out if we were under the law of the old covenant; you could easily receive a death sentence back then.  Unfortunately, man has convinced themselves that grace and mercy make God like some kind of Grandpa who allows everyone to do anything.  Be careful, for God is not mocked; and He is a discerner of the heart.  He knows who has become a Pharisee, who plays around in sin, and who really has a desire to serve Him.  The better thing for you and I, is that He sees our hearts and we don’t have to be stoned for our sins, Jesus paid the price and He paid it in full.  He expects us to turn from our wicked ways and follow Him.  But, have you ever got off the path of righteousness?  There is an enemy out there who puts up wrong road signs, he gets people to tell us right is wrong and wrong is right, he causes us to believe a lie, and he works at our senses until we give way to them.  So, there we are trying to do right and wham, we get smacked right in the face with the onslaughts of the enemy.  Sin has a real hard pull and if we allow ourselves to be drawn into bondage by the enemy, the pull is even stronger; and before you know it, he has you bound and it appears that there is no way out.  But, then there is Jesus; who said I will show you mercy; no matter what you have done, no matter how unrighteous you are; I will forgive you and I will remember your sins no more.  The world may never let you forget; but God sees the heart; the heart that will look to Him; and He will take us in and forgive us and set us free from bondage.  He is not like people who bring up your past; He simply says it is gone and you are free. The enemy wants us to think that everything is hard; but there is a simplicity in God; in that He says “come to me all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest; my yoke is easy, and my burden is light”.   We just need to turn around and run to God with all of our might!

Dear Lord, we know that you are the one and only true God; and we praise you this day that you hold all power in your hands; there is none above you.  We thank you that you love us and that you will forgive us our sins.  Help us to see the right road and help us to travel that way; we need you, we submit to you and ask that you destroy the devour of our souls; break off every work of darkness that seeks to bind and destroy our lives as well as the lives of our families.  We ask that you come quickly to our rescue and deliver us from the enemy.  We ask these things in the name of Jesus, AMEN.

P.S.  In these last days that we are living we need to get as much of the word as possible.  If any of you have a ladies group at your church or Bible study that you would like to have a guest speaker, I would be anxious in the Lord to come and speak for you.  You may contact me at this email address.  Maranatha!
